The Transaction Coordinator (TC) is an individual who is outgoing, detailed, assertive and persistent. The ideal TC is flexible and solutions oriented. They provide high quality assistance while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
The role of a Transaction Coordinator
The TC will act as liaison between real estate agents, clients, closing officers, lenders and vendors during the transaction process and effectively manage the administrative tasks throughout the transaction. The TC will follow up effectively on outstanding items throughout the file to be sure all issues are handled as quickly as possible. They are well-versed in every step of the real estate transaction process and are tasked with monitoring progress from contract acceptance through the closing process.
Separating good from great transaction coordinators
A great TC will work closely with the agent to manage the entire contract-to-close process efficiently and effectively to ensure all transactions close on time. The TC is responsible for implementing the agent’s systems completely on each file they manage to ensure consistent service to agents and their clients.
